Delaney & Simba

We know these puppies are going to be a huge crowd favourite, with wonderful personalities and incredibly affectionate natures.

Everyone has been so excited about Ammena and Simba’s most recent litter, and many families were disappointed that they couldn’t get a puppy from them because the waiting list filled so quickly. That litter was incredible in temperament, and we were especially proud of how friendly and trainable those puppies were. Because of that, we decided to offer this special pairing between Ammena & Bear’s daughter, Delaney, and our beautiful Simba. Delaney is also littermate to Ocean from My_Blue_Wolf on Instagram!

Delaney is very sweet and dynamic, much like her mother, Ammena. She is exceptionally loving and wants nothing more than love and attention. She loves to “dance” with us and give hugs! She is very gentle-natured and well-mannered, but she is also extremely athletic and loves to run, play and even climb trees. I know she will make a wonderful and attentive mother to her future puppies.

Simba is such an amazing boy. He truly loves being around his people more than anything else. If I let him, he would happily lay in bed all day and snuggle. He loves sleeping in bed at night and being the fluffiest, largest “little spoon” there ever was.

Simba can be a little shy in overly crowded places, but once he trusts you, he turns into a huge, affectionate lion. He has been on many mountain holidays with us, including trips to some of Alberta’s most touristy destinations—like Banff National Park—where he gets absolutely swarmed with attention from everyone. He leaves a lasting impression everywhere he goes because of his size and his incredible, lion-like appearance.

Delaney and Simba will have stunning Low Content Wolfdog puppies at approximately 35% wolf content, with the remaining breeds being Alaskan Malamute, German Shepherd, Siberian Husky and Samoyed.

This pairing has the potential to produce a beautiful variety of coat colours, including Isabella Sable, Solid Isabella, Blue Sable, Solid Blue, Liver Sable, Solid Liver, Seal, Solid Black, Black Phase, Agouti and Sable. All puppies will have thick, wooly coats, with eye colours ranging from various shades of gold, green and orange. Puppies from this litter are expected to be large in size with balanced body structure.

Delaney’s athletic and affectionate nature, combined with Simba’s loyalty and tenderness, should make for very well-rounded and balanced puppies. We expect these puppies to make wonderful adventure buddies who are close to their families, while also being perfectly happy to spend a relaxing day lounging around at home.

We anticipate these puppies having very loving, happy and caring temperaments that can fit well into a variety of lifestyles. However, with these puppies still being in the 35% wolf content range, their families will need to be diligent with training and socialization. They will require more consistency and dedication in these areas compared to puppies from some of our lower-content pairings, and we feel it is important to be upfront about that.

Our puppies are raised in our home following the Puppy Culture Protocol and are socialized from birth to as many different people, animals and situations as we can provide. Although this takes a lot more time and work for us, we find that it greatly benefits the puppy later in life—and that is what is most important to us.

All puppies will also work regularly with our professional dog trainer, who comes out to our ranch at True North Nordics to help prepare them for life with their new families.
